February Half Term 10 February 2017

Things to do at February half term.  Come to the Peak District.  If there is snow Elton Ski club would be a good place to hang out on the local slopes I am convinced this year will see a large snow fall which will encourage the locals to put on the ski wear and get out there.  I do not ski so far but I am keen to learn.  Steve ski’s well and so he may attempt to teach me ha ha… If you would rather enjoy the local walks then  Gratton Dale looks amazing in winter and there is a great walk up the Dale and then into Long Dale and over the Youlgreave.  Chatsworth House have specific activities going on there click here for more information.  In Bakewell there is fabulous food at The Manners pub/restaurant we ate there on Sunday when celebrating my eldest son Conor’s 21st Birthday.  I wonder where the years have gone but I am a very proud Mum.

The stables are now under construction and I am hopefully going to update in my next blog on progress with photos of Steve busy finalising the roof.  Our friends Kate and Rob at Gratton Grange offer livery for holiday lets which means the horsey ones amongst us can enjoy the bridal ways over the Peak trial  click the link for more information.

over and out for now …
